Do all people with asthma wheeze?

Although wheezing is common in people with asthma, not all people with asthma wheeze, and sometimes wheezing is so slight, it can only be heard with a stethoscope. For some people with asthma, coughing is the only symptom present. Similarly, children with chronic coughs may have asthma, even though no wheezing is present.
